When W&W perform on July 11, 1,400 fans will be allowed inside the 20,000-cap building.

ALDA And W&W Make Use Of Lanxess Arena’s Corona Concept

ALDA, which is half-owned by Insomniac, have teamed with Dutch EDM duo W&W, who will give their first performance for a live audience since COVID-19 broke out, July 11 in Cologne.
The city’s 20,000-capacity Lanxess Arena has been reconfigured to allow for live audience events while government issued COVID-19 restrictions are still in place.
The round features so-called Cubes, which offers guests their own separate areas, while the ranks have been separated into blocks of four seats, with 1.5 meters in-between each block.
What is more, the arena has been divided into five zones to manage visitor flow and prevent large numbers of people from coming together. All of these measures mean that Lanxess Arena can only operate on a very limited capacity of 5% to 10%.
When W&W take the stage next month, 1,400 people will be allowed inside the building, distancing rules will apply, attendees will be required to wear masks when using walkways.
Lolla Paris Plans Sponsored Picnic
In France, Live Nation’s Lollapalooza Paris has partnered with fashion brand Balmain, chef Jean Imbert and champagne manufacturer Veuve Clicquot, to realize an event in place of the festival, which had to be cancelled this year.
300 guests will have the opportunity to buy tickets for an extravagant picnic at the Hippodrome PraisLongchamp, where the festival usually takes place. Ticket holders will have access to a menu for two with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, Balmain’s goodies and a DJ set/concert.
Over the entire weekend, when Lolla Paris would have actually taken place, July 18-19, the festival will be commemorated with an online program yet to be announced. The picnic takes place on the Sunday, July 19.
